GOd in School

In the past few years we all have heard about (as the media likes to put it) the PROBLEM that God plays in school.  In our time the courts have ruled that prayer is not allowed in school. Teachers are no longer allowed to offer prayer during schools or pray for anything as a class. Instead moments of silence are offered but you are probably saying to yourself that sounds like a fix to the problem but now atheists  are insisting that we should also get rid of this moment of silence as well because it still implies that prayer is still in school or that a God still exists. This whole uprising against religion stems from the idea  that of separation of church and state and to an extent i agree with it. This extent though is a small one. for example I would not want the Pope leading our country because that then would be an oligarchy or for that fact any one man or woman not elected by the people. But the fact still remains that the founding fathers were extremely religious men and modeled our country after their beliefs. One fact that not to many people know is that separation of church and sate is not part of thee constitution it was an idea proposed by Thomas Jefferson in a letter to a church. It was not in the context that we use it today. In conclusion I have provided you the facts of this very delicate subject and I encourage you to use this information with whatever you see fit.
